Coaches' Connect: Celebrating Merdeka Together
On 16th August 2025, our coaches gathered for a meaningful Coaches' Connect, dressed in the vibrant colours of Malaysian flag — blue, red, yellow, and white, to celebrate the spirit of Merdeka!
The session began with a heartfelt ice breaking led by Coach Brendon, who shared touching story "The Invisible String." His storytelling set a warm and sentimental tone, reminding us of the invisible bonds that connect us all.
Following that, our energetic and inspiring CEO, Uncle Chin Heng, took the stage. He introduced the word "GRIT". Grit are Passion + Perseverance. He reminded us that passion is the spark that drives us, but more importantly, he challenged us to reflect on how we can sustain and nurture that passion in our daily journey as educators.
Coaches also had lively debate on whether the "behaviorist" or "humanistic" approach provides a better perspective on leader's behaviour. Coach Ann and Coach Su Wei shared valuable insights, reminding us that each approach holds unique strengths, and that true impact comes from being flexible and responsive to the needs of every leader.
We had singing patriotic songs, and enjoying a spread of cultural favourites including rojak, roti canai, and dim sum. It was not only a time of learning and reflection but also a celebration of the beautiful diversity that makes us Malaysian.
