Our Learning Approach
πLearning Beyond the Classroom
LEADERland believes that meaningful learning can happen beyond traditional classroom settings.
Children are given opportunities to learn through:
- Hands-on experiments
- Educational field trips
- Creative activities
- Performance and talent showcases
- Science exploration
- Community experiences
- Teamwork and problem-solving
- Family activities
- Health and safety education
These experiences allow children to connect what they learn with the real world while developing important life skills.
π§ͺScience Learning Through Discovery
Exploring How Sound Travels Through Water
As part of the Science Program, LEADERland children explored the fascinating concept of “Songs from Underwater.”
Through a hands-on experiment, the children discovered that sound can travel through water and learned how different substances can transmit sound in different ways.
The activity encouraged children to observe, make predictions, discuss their findings, and think critically. The experience was designed to make scientific learning engaging, interactive, and enjoyable.
π§π»πLearning Through Real-World Experiences
Fire Safety in Action
On 2 July 2026, LEADERs from LEADERland Southbay visited the Batu Kawan Fire Station for an educational fire safety experience.
During the visit, children:
- Learned essential fire safety tips
- Learned how to stay calm and respond safely during emergencies
- Explored fire engines and firefighting equipment
- Learned more about the role of firefighters in protecting the community
- Practised using a fire extinguisher under the guidance and supervision of professional firefighters
The experience helped strengthen the children’s awareness of fire safety while building confidence, curiosity, and appreciation for everyday community heroes.
π¦·Children’s Health & Wellbeing
Healthy Smiles Start Here!
LEADERland Southbay also organised a Dental Health Awareness session for its LEADERs.
During the session, children learned how to brush their teeth correctly and received practical tips for maintaining healthy smiles.
A nurse also conducted a basic oral health check for each LEADER.
The session encouraged children to develop healthy daily habits and helped them understand the importance of taking care of their oral health from a young age.
π€Developing Children’s Confidence & Talents
LEADERland Got Talent!
LEADERland hosted LEADERland Got Talent in July, providing children with an opportunity to showcase their individual talents while strengthening parent-child bonding.
Parents and children worked together to plan and prepare their performances, making the preparation process just as meaningful as the performance itself.
The performances included a variety of talents such as:
- Singing
- Dancing
- Storytelling
- Magic shows
- Science experiments
Some performances also featured creative costumes and impressive 3D props, highlighting the creativity and teamwork between parents and children.
Through the event, LEADERland provides children with a platform to express themselves, build confidence, and let their talents shine.
β€οΈFamily & Community
Parents Connect 2.0: Growing Together
On 1 August 2026, families from Batu Kawan came together for Parents Connect 2.0, featuring two special sessions:
- Morning Picnic Party & Games
- Evening Barbecue at the Pool
Beyond games, food, and laughter, the event focused on family connection and quality time.
Parents had opportunities to:
- Bond with their children
- Meet fellow families
- Build meaningful friendships
- Spend quality time together
- Become part of the wider LEADERland community
LEADERland believes that strong families help build strong communities. Through simple moments of togetherness, families can create lasting memories and build a close-knit community where everyone can grow, connect, and thrive together.
