LEADERland: Learning, Exploring, Leading & Growing Together
At LEADERland, we believe that meaningful learning happens not only in the classroom, but also through real-world experiences, cultural exploration, community activities, leadership opportunities and meaningful connections.
Throughout August and September 2026, our LEADERs took part in a variety of activities designed to help them discover more about Malaysia, develop new knowledge, build confidence and strengthen their sense of community.
π²πΎCelebrating Malaysia’s Diversity
At LEADERland Sungai Ara, our LEADERs celebrated Malaysia’s Independence Day through a meaningful Merdeka celebration themed “United in Diversity.”
The celebration brought together Malaysian culture, food, music and family participation. Children dressed in the colours of the Malaysian flag and enjoyed a special breakfast inspired by Malaysia’s three main cultures, featuring traditional kuih-muih, Koey Teow Th’ng and roti canai.
Families also participated in a “Layang-Layang Merdeka” kite-making activity, while the children sang patriotic songs and learned more about Malaysia’s journey to independence.
Through these experiences, children were encouraged to understand that Merdeka is more than a celebration of freedom. It is also an opportunity to appreciate unity, diversity and love for Malaysia.
β€οΈDiscovering Malaysia Through Educational Experiences
Our LEADERland Primary Sungai Nibong LEADERs also embarked on a Merdeka Quest in Taiping, where learning came alive through exploration and discovery.
At Wonder Farm Mushroom in Matang, they went behind the scenes to discover organic mushroom cultivation, explore incubation rooms, learn about different mushroom species and experience fresh black fungus drinks.
Their journey continued at Muzium Perak, where they explored Malaysian history, natural history and vintage transport exhibits, gaining a deeper appreciation of our country's rich heritage.
The LEADERs also visited Orang Utan Island, travelling by boat to observe orangutans in a protected conservation environment while learning about wildlife preservation and environmental care.
These experiences allowed our children to connect classroom learning with the real world while creating meaningful memories along the way.
ππ»Growing Young Leaders
At LEADERland, we believe that leadership begins with character.
We are proud to celebrate Coach Lynn’s promotion to LEADERland Director, recognising her journey and dedication to the LEADERland community.
Coach Lynn began her journey with LEADERland in 2020 as a Trainee Coach and continued to grow through different leadership responsibilities. Throughout her journey, she has remained committed to nurturing young leaders, supporting families and contributing to a positive learning environment.
Her leadership journey reflects an important principle:
“Humility is the foundation of leadership.”
At LEADERland, we strive to develop not only capable learners, but also young people who lead with confidence, humility, responsibility and care for others.
πA Community That Cares
Beyond education and activities, LEADERland believes in building a community where people support one another.
Through our CSR initiative, LEADERians and LEADERland came together to support Kakak Nimpan, a valued member of our community who had faithfully served LEADERland for more than five years.
Together, LEADERians contributed RM2,500 while LEADERland matched the contribution with RM5,000, providing a total of RM7,500 in support towards her medical journey.
We are grateful that Kakak Nimpan successfully underwent her operation in August 2026 and returned to Penang in September to continue her recovery.
This experience reminds us that a strong community is built not only through shared learning, but also through compassion, gratitude and caring for one another.
πLearning Beyond the Classroom
From celebrating Malaysia’s cultural diversity to discovering nature and heritage, developing leadership and supporting members of our community, LEADERland continues to create opportunities for children to learn, explore, connect and grow.
Every experience is an opportunity for our LEADERs to gain new knowledge, discover their potential, develop important life values and create memories that stay with them beyond the classroom.
At LEADERland, we grow young leaders through meaningful experiences, strong relationships and a community that cares.
